Topic: Weaving numbers in the context of counting and basic addition

Objectives & Outcomes

  • Students will be able to weave numbers in the context of counting and basic addition.

Materials

  • String or yarn
  • Number cards (1-10)
  • A large piece of paper or a whiteboard

Warm-up

  • Review the concept of counting using number cards. Ask the students to count out a certain number and then have them demonstrate the counting process by showing the number cards one by one.
  • Ask the students to demonstrate the process of adding two numbers together and show how to do it by using the number cards.
