Materials

  • Jar

  • Seeds, nuts, and dried fruit (optional)
  • Scissors

Warm-Up

  • Show the students a picture of a cow and ask them if they have ever seen a cow in real life.
  • Ask the students to share what they remember about the cow they saw.
  • Move on to a picture of a horse and do the same.
  • End with a picture of a sheep and a pig.

Direct Instruction

  • Introduce the students to the concept of farm animals and their names.
