Topic: Psychedelic Posters Using Positive Affirmations

Objectives & Outcomes

• Students will be able to create a psychedelic poster using colored pencils.
• Students will be able to use positive affirmations to communicate a positive message about themselves.

Materials

• Colored pencils
• Large sheets of paper
• Pencils (optional)

Warm-up

• Begin the lesson by showing the students some examples of psychedelic posters.Ask them to describe what they notice about the posters.
• Next, give the students a piece of paper and a set of colored pencils and ask them to draw a picture of themselves, but make sure to emphasize that they should only draw things that they like about themselves.

Direct Instruction

• Explain to the students that positive affirmations are statements that are meant to reinforce positive thoughts and feelings.Introduce the concept of using only positive affirmations in creating psychedelic posters.
• Discuss the importance of using positive affirmations in addressing negative thoughts and feelings.

Guided Practice

• Provide the students with a large piece of paper and colored pencils.
• Walk the students through the process of creating a psychedelic poster using only positive affirmations.
