Topic: The Impact of Social Justice on Humanities in 2023

Objectives & Outcomes

• Students will understand the concept of social justice and how it impacts the humanities in 2023.

Materials

• Whiteboard and markers
• Handouts with information about social justice and the humanities

Warm-up

• Ask students what they know about social justice. Write their responses on the whiteboard.
• Explain that social justice is the fair and just treatment of all people, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, etc.

Direct Instruction

• Review the definition of social justice and provide examples of ways in which it is being promoted or challenged in society today.
