Topic: The principles found in the Constitution

Objectives & Outcomes

  • Students will be able to identify and explain the principles found in the Constitution.

Materials

  • Constitution of the United States
  • Index cards or small pieces of paper
  • Pen or pencil

Warm-up

  • Ask students to think about the Constitution and what they know about it. Write their answers on the board.
  • Discuss the answers as a class and explain that the Constitution is the foundation of our government and sets out the basic principles and rules that all governments in the United States must follow.

Direct Instruction
