• Define the symbols used to represent an inequality, namely: <, >, ≤, and ≥.
• Define the meaning of each symbol:
• < means "less than"
• > means "greater than"
• ≤ means "less than or equal to"
• ≥ means "greater than or equal to"
• Explain that solving an inequality means finding the set of all possible values of the variable that make the inequality true.
• Use examples to illustrate the process of solving an inequality.
