Objectives & Outcomes

• Students will be able to identify the benefits of transport and travel, and the role that transport and travel play in our daily lives.

Materials

• Whiteboard or chalkboard
• Markers or chalk
• Handouts with examples of transport and travel (e.g. cars, trains, planes, buses, bikes, walking)

Warm-up

• Ask students if they have ever traveled by plane, boat, car, or other means.
• Ask students to share their travel experiences and the benefits of the transport or travel method they used.

Direct Instruction

• Distribute the handouts with information about the benefits of different types of transport and travel.
• Go over the information with the students and have them take notes.
• Ask students to share their thoughts and questions about the information presented.

Guided Practice

• Provide the students with a worksheet or activity with questions about the benefits of different types of transport and travel.
