Topic: «Traveling and Vacations»

Objectives & Outcomes

• Students will be able to list at least 3 different types of vacations and describe the purpose and benefits of each.

Materials

• Handouts with information about different types of vacations (e.g. vacation trips, vacation trips, vacation trips)
• Blank paper and pens/pencils for students to take notes

Warm-up

• Ask students if they have ever gone on a vacation. What kind of vacation was it? Where did they go? How long did they stay?
• Write their answers on the board.
• Allow students to share their experiences and any interesting or memorable experiences they had.

Direct Instruction

• Introduce the topic of traveling and vacations. Ask students if they have any plans to go on a vacation this summer or in the future.
• Discuss the different types of vacations people can take. These can include domestic vacations, which are trips within a country, and international vacations, which are trips to different countries.
• Discuss the factors that people consider when choosing where to go on a vacation, such as the cost, distance, and weather.

Guided Practice
