Objectives & Outcomes

• Students will be able to create their own soup by following the step by step procedure of different soups.

Materials

• Various Ingredients for different types of soup (e.g. chicken, vegetable, etc.)
• Frying Pan
• Stove
• Ingredients Measurer
• Blender (optional)

Warm-up

• Ask students if they have ever had soup before and if so, what kind it was. Write down their responses on the board.
• Ask students to share their experiences of eating soup and what they liked or didn't like about it.
• Ask students if they have ever tried making soup before and if so, how did they make it.

Direct Instruction

• Distribute the handout with instructions for making different types of soup.
• Review the steps for making each type of soup with the class, making sure to emphasize any important tips or safety considerations.
• Have students take notes on the instructions for making each type of soup.

Guided Practice

• Have students work in pairs to follow the steps for making one type of soup, while the teacher checks for understanding and assistance as needed.
• Encourage students to ask questions and provide feedback on their experience making the soup.
