• Calculator (optional)

Warm-up

• Review decimal place value and how to represent decimal numbers using decimal places.
• Have students practice writing decimal numbers using decimal places according to a provided scenario, such as Divide the number 375.50 by 20.
• As a class, combine all the fractional parts of the divided numbers to get the final fractional result.

Direct Instruction

• Review the division algorithm for dividing decimals by whole numbers.
• Have students practice dividing decimals by whole numbers using the division algorithm.
