Objectives & Outcomes

Materials

  • Posters with pictures of common dishes in Spain (e.g. paella, tortilla de patatas, tortilla de camarones, tapas)
  • Used menus or restaurant menus
  • Transcripts of the conversations between the students and the native speaker

Warm-up

  • Ask the students if they have ever been to Spain. What kind of food did they eat there?
  • Ask the students to share their experiences with the class.
  • Show the posters with pictures of common dishes in Spain and ask the students to name them.

Direct Instruction

  • Introduce the topic of daily menus and explain that we are going to learn about the typical daily menu in Spain.
