Objectives & Outcomes

Materials

Warm-up

  • Ask students if they have ever seen animals in their everyday life.
  • Ask students to name some animals they know.
  • Ask students to raise their hand if they know how animals survive in their environment.
  • Write their answers on the board (e.g. camouflage, claws, sharp teeth).

Direct Instruction

  • Introduce the concept of adaptation and explain that it is the process by which animals adjust to their environment in order to survive.
