Objectives & Outcomes

• Students will be able to revise the numbers upto 9999 and understand the concept of revision through interactive activities.

Materials

• Whiteboard and markers
• Drawing sheets
• Coloured pencils

Warm-up

• Review the numbers upto 1000. Ask the students to recite the numbers in a sequential order.
• Ask the students to name the numbers between any two given numbers (e.g. between 900 and 1000, they should say "900, 1000, 1001, 1002, etc.").
• Ask the students to spell the numbers upto 100.

Direct Instruction

• Introduce the concept of revision by showing the students the flashcards or cards with numbers on them. Ask the students to name the numbers on the cards.
• Ask the students to arrange the numbers in a sequential order, from smallest to largest.
• Ask the students to name the numbers between any two given numbers (e.g. between 900 and 1000, they should say "900, 1000, 1001, 1002, etc.").
• Ask the students to spell the numbers upto 100.

Guided Practice

• Show the students some examples of revision problems and ask them to solve the problems.
• Demonstrate how to solve the problems by working through a few examples on the board or on the whiteboard.

• Observe the students during the guided and independent practice activities to see if they are able to correctly change numbers between 1000 and 9999.
• Collect the students' worksheets and evaluate their ability to change numbers between 1000 and 9999.
