Objectives & Outcomes

  • Students will be able to identify and recognize ie and ei words.

Materials

  • A list of words that includes both ie and ei words
  • A whiteboard or a chalkboard
  • Markers or chalk

Warm-up

  • Ask students if they know what the letters ie and ei stand for.
  • Ask them to give an example of a word that has the letter ie or ei.
  • Write the examples on the whiteboard or chalkboard.

Direct Instruction
