Warm-up

  • Have students sit in a circle.
  • Show the students a snowflake cutout or real snowflake and have them observe the different patterns on the snowflake.
  • Ask the students if they can name any patterns they see on the snowflake.
  • Write the patterns on the board as the students name them.
  • Continue this process with a tree cutout or real tree branch, and a moon cutout or real moon.
