Objectives & Outcomes

• Students will be able to explain how people from the stone age, Iron age and bronze age farmed and ate.

Materials

• Images of farming practices in the stone age, Iron age and bronze age
• Handouts with information about farming and eating in each period
• Art supplies for the lesson's independent practice activity

Warm-up

• Ask students to close their eyes and picture a farmer from the stone age, Iron age or bronze age.
• Have them describe what they see to their partner.
• Ask students if they can think of any tools that the farmer might have used to farm the land.
