Topic: Les fruits

Objective:Students will be able to identify and name the different fruits.

Strategy:

• Write the names of the different fruits on small pieces of paper or cards.
• Put the cards in a hat or box.
• Have the students pick a card and identify the fruit shown.

Materials:

• Small pieces of paper or cards with the names of the different fruits written on them
• Hat or box
• Pencils and paper for students to write the names of the fruits

Warm-up

• Show the students a picture of a fruit and ask them to guess what it is.
• Ask the students to raise their hand if they know the name of the fruit.
• Continue with several different pictures of fruits, focusing on one fruit at a time.
• At the end of the activity, ask the students to raise their hand if they were able to identify all the fruits shown.

Direct Instruction

• Show the students pictures of all the different fruits and name each one.
• Explain that fruits are a source of vitamins and minerals and can be eaten raw or cooked.
• Ask the students to share some of their favorite ways to eat fruit.

Guided Practice:

• Divide the students into small groups and give each group a set of pictures of different fruits.
• Have the students use the pictures to create a visual list of all the different fruits they can think of.
• Go over the list with the students and check for any missed items.

Independent Practice:

• Give each student a sheet of paper and a pencil.
• Ask the students to draw a picture of their favorite fruit.
• As the students are working, walk around the room and provide any assistance needed.

Closure

• Ask the students to share their drawings with the class.
• Ask the students to explain why they chose the fruit they drew.
• Remind the students that fruits are an important part of a healthy diet.
