Objectives & Outcomes

  • Students will be able to talk about their favorite zoo animal and explain why they chose it.

Materials

  • Pictures of various zoo animals - Lion, Gorilla, Penguin, Panda, Elephant, Monkey, Giraffe,
  • A paper and colors to draw the favorite animal picture

Warm-up

  • Ask the students if they have ever been to a zoo before.
  • Ask them to share their favorite zoo animal and explain why they chose it.

Direct Instruction

  • Introduce the word "zoo" and explain what it is.
  • Show the students pictures of different zoo animals and ask them to name each one.
  • Ask them to share their favorite zoo animal and explain why they chose it.

Guided Practice

  • Have them work in pairs to draw or paint a picture of their favorite zoo animal.

Independent Practice
