Topic: Clothes we wear

Objectives & Outcomes

• Students will be able to name at least 5 different types of clothes they wear.

Materials

• Pictures of different types of clothes (e.g. shirt, pants, shoes, jacket, underwear)
• Chart paper and markers

Warm-up

• Ask students if they can name at least 5 different types of clothes they wear.
• Write their answers on the chart paper.

Direct Instruction

• Display pictures of different types of clothes, such as shirts, pants, dresses, shoes, and hats.
• Ask students to name each type of clothes and explain why people wear each type.
• Encourage students to share their own personal experiences and feelings about different types of clothes.

Guided Practice

• Divide students into small groups and give each group a set of clothes to investigate.
• Have students look at the different types of clothes and discuss why people wear each type.
• Ask questions such as: Why do people wear pants? What purpose do shoes serve?
• Have students share their thoughts with the whole class.

Independent Practice

• Have students work on a project to create a "Clothes Showcase."
