Objectives & Outcomes

Materials

• Pictures or models of bees and wesps
• Chart paper or chalkboard and markers

Warm-up

• Ask students if they have ever seen a bee or a wesp. Ask them to describe what the bee or wesp looks like and how it behaves.
• Discuss the importance of bees and wesps in the ecosystem.

Direct Instruction

• Show the pictures of bees and wesps to the students, and ask them to identify which one is which.
• Discuss the different characteristics of bees and wesps, such as their size, color, and behavior.
• Explain that bees are more useful than wesps because they make honey, which we can eat, and pollen, which we can use to make cakes and other food.
• Wesps, on the other hand, are not very useful because they do not produce anything that we can use.
