Objectives & Outcomes

Materials

  • Alphabet cards with the letters A through Z
  • Flash cards with pictures of items that start with the letter V or F
  • Whiteboard and markers

Warm-up

  • Show the students the alphabet cards and ask them to identify the initial sound of each letter.
  • Write the letters on the whiteboard and have the students guess the initial sound.

Direct Instruction

  • Introduce the letter V and explain that it makes the sound /v/.
