Topic: First day in School after Holidays

Objectives & Outcomes

• Students will be able to greet the teacher and their classmates with a proper introduction on the first day of school after holidays.

Materials

• Postcards with pictures of the class's teachers and classmates
• Pencils and paper for each student

Warm-up

• Have the students draw a picture of themselves on a postcard and write their name on the back.
• Ask the students to share their drawings with their classmates and ask each other questions like: "Where are you going on your vacation?" or "What did you do on your vacation?"

Direct Instruction

• Introduce the concept of greetings and introductions in English.
• Demonstrate how to say "Hello" and "Nice to meet you" in English.
• Explain that it is important to know the names of the people around us in school, so that we can say hello and introduce ourselves properly.
• Have the students practice saying "Hello" and "Nice to meet you" in English.

• Have the students practice introducing themselves in English, with the teacher providing feedback and guidance as needed.

Independent Practice

• Have the students create a "name tag" to put on their desk or chair, with their name and a fun fact about themselves written on it in English.
• Have the students work in pairs to exchange name tags and read the fun facts to each other.
• Encourage the students to ask questions or make comments about their partner's fun fact.

Closure
