Objectives & Outcomes

• Students will be able to explain the process of basic computer setup and cabling.

Materials

• Computer
• Monitor
• Keyboard
• Mouse
• Cables (e.g. HDMI, VGA, Ethernet)

Warm-up

• Ask students if they know what a computer is and what it is used for.

Criteria

• Students will be able to describe the functions of a computer and how it is used.
• Students will be able to name the parts of a computer (e.g. monitor, keyboard, mouse).
• Students will be able to describe the process of basic computer setup and cabling.

Direct Instruction
