Objectives & Outcomes

  • By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to identify and use the subject pronouns in a sentence.

Materials

  • flashcards with the subject pronouns "I, you, he, she, it, we, they"
  • sentence stems such as "I like...", "You are...", "She is...", etc.

Warm-up

  • Ask the student to give examples of people or things that they know.
  • Have them use the sentence stems to make simple sentences, such as "I like to swim", "You are my friend", "She is my sister".
  • Ask the student if they can name the person or thing that they are talking about in each sentence.
