Objectives & Outcomes

• Understand the concept of artificial intelligence and its applications in today's world.

Materials

• Laptop or computer with internet access
• Textbook or other materials for research

Warm-up

• Ask students if they have ever heard of artificial intelligence. What do they think it is?
• Ask students to name some examples of artificial intelligence in today's world, such as Siri or self-driving cars.

Direct Instruction

• Introduce the concept of artificial intelligence as the ability of computers to demonstrate intelligent behavior.
• Explain that intelligence is a complex concept and that researchers have developed different models and approaches to artificial intelligence.
• Discuss the limitations of current AI and the challenges that researchers face in developing more sophisticated and advanced AI.

Guided Practice

• Divide the class into small groups and provide each group with an example of an AI system, such as a medical diagnosis system or an automated stock trading system.
• Ask the groups to analyze the example AI system and identify its key components and underlying algorithms.
• Have the groups present their findings to the class and discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the example AI system.

Independent Practice :

• Provide each student with a different example of an AI system and give them instructions to design and implement their own AI system based on the provided example.
• Ask the students to create a detailed design document and implement their AI system in a computer programming language such as C++ or Java.
