Direct Instruction

• Write newton's first law of motion and second law of motion on the board.
• Have students copy the laws into their notes.
• Review the examples of each law, using the motion-related objects from the warm-up activity.
• Have students work in pairs to create their own examples of each law, using pencils and paper.

Guided Practice

• Have students work in pairs to create their own examples of each law, using markers and paper.
• Ask students to share their examples with the class and explain their reasoning.

Independent Practice

• Have students work on a project-based independent practice, where they create a short animation or interactive simulation that demonstrates one of the laws of motion.
• Students can use computer software such as Animation or Power Point to create their animation or simulation.

Closure

• Review the key concepts from the lesson and have students share their animations or simulations with the class.
• Ask students to reflect on what they learned about the laws of motion and how they can be applied to real-world situations.
