Topic: How to motivate students to learn English

Objectives & Outcomes

  • Students will be able to explain the reasons behind their lack of motivation and suggest ways to overcome this.

  • Copies of the article "Why English Is Hard: And What To Do About It" (from the book "Why Language is Hard")
  • Handouts with brainstorming prompts

Warm-up

  • Ask students to share their experiences learning English and any frustrations they have experienced.
