Topic: Technology

Objectives & Outcomes

• Understand the definition of technology and its different types.
• Be able to use technology efficiently in daily life.

Material

• Text book
• Computers with internet connectivity
• Presentation software (e.g. PowerPoint)
• Handouts on different types of technology

Warm-up

• Ask students to think of a technology they use regularly (e.g. mobile phone, computer, etc.) and ask them to share their experiences with the class.
• As a class, make a list of all the technologies mentioned and categorize them according to their uses (e.g. communication, entertainment, education, etc.)

Direct Instruction

• Introduce the topic of technology and its importance in our daily lives.
• Discuss the different types of technologies and their uses, and provide examples for each type.
• Emphasize the importance of correct usage and proper grammar when using technology.

Guided Practice

• Divide the students into small groups and provide each group with a set of technology-related sentences for them to correct.
• Walk around and assist the students as they work.
• Encourage them to use the correct grammar and spellings when correcting the sentences.

Independent Practice

• Provide the students with a set of technology-related sentences for them to correct on their own.
• Encourage them to use the correct grammar and spellings when correcting the sentences.

Closure

• Ask the students to share their thoughts and feelings about the lesson.
• Ask them to share any problems or difficulties they faced during the lesson.@@-End the class with a round of applause and a short summary of the lesson.

Assessment

• Assess the students' learning through the class participation and their written work.
• Evaluate the students' understanding of the lesson by assessing their ability to use the target language in their written work .
