10th Grade What Is She Wearing? Lesson Plan

Topic: What is she wearing?

Topic: What is she wearing?

Objective: To understand the use of present continuous in English

Introduction:  The present continuous is used to talk about actions that are happening at the present time. It is often used with the word "ing" to form the continuous form of a verb, as in "eating." It can also be used with other words, such as "currently," in order to make statements more specific.

Body:  Let's look at some examples. In the sentence "She is eating a sandwich," the word "eating" is in the present continuous. This means that the action of eating is happening at the present time. Another way to say this is that the action "eating" is in progress at the present time. In the sentence "She is currently eating a sandwich," the word "currently" tells us that the action of eating is happening at the moment of speaking. In the sentence "She is wearing a dress," the word "wearing" is in the present continuous. This means that the action of wearing is happening at the present time. In the sentence "She is currently wearing a dress," the word "currently" tells us that the action of wearing is happening at the moment of speaking.

Conclusion:  The present continuous is used to describe actions that are happening at the present time. It can also be used with other words, such as "currently," in order to make statements more specific.
