Objectives & Outcomes

• Students will be able to understand how AI is being used in the business world and how it may impact their future career opportunities.

Materials

• Business cases where AI has been used to solve real-world problems
• Handouts with further reading materials

Warm-up

• Ask students if they have heard of AI before. What do they think it is?
• Show a brief video clip of an AI technology in action and ask students to describe what they saw.

Direct Instruction

• Begin by explaining that AI stands for Artificial Intelligence, and it is the ability for computers to mimic human intelligence.
• Review the key concepts of intelligence, such as reasoning, problem-solving, and learning.
• Provide examples of how AI is being used in the business world, such as personalizing marketing campaigns, optimizing supply chains, and automating tasks.
• Discuss the benefits and limitations of AI, and the challenges that AI researchers are currently facing.

Guided Practice
